About postcards from Juliet and love

Hi, I’m Alba White,
Founder of Postcards from Juliet

This brand began as a small letters to my son. A quiet prayer written during long hospital nights when I watched him endure pain no child should have to. Even then, he played classical piano from his hospital bed — finding light in music while I held onto hope through words. Those letters and small notes I wrote to him were full of love, fear, and fierce belief in his strength. They became part of the emotional thread that wove this brand into being.

As a mother, I found myself writing not only to him but also to my other children — who quietly suffered alongside their brother, who learned strength without words. It was in those sleepless nights, between notes of Chopin and whispered prayers, that the first sketches of Postcards from Juliet were born. I began to design — not just to distract myself, but to heal, to remember, to create something meaningful from the pain.

This brand didn’t begin with a business plan or a big launch.
It began beside a hospital bed.

My son was fighting an illness that brought us to our knees. Yet even in the worst of it — when pain should have silenced joy — he played classical piano. Soft melodies by Italian composers that echoed through that sterile hospital room like whispered prayers. The music became a form of survival — for him, for me, and for everyone around us.

Each night, I sat by his side writing letters — to him, to my other children, to myself. I taped postcards notes and pictures of all our memories to the hospital walls, filling the room with color and hope. Notes of love, quotes from Romeo and Juliet, and prayers poured from me like lifelines. Every postcard I hung was a promise: You are loved. You are strong. You are not alone.

Why I Created This

Postcards from Juliet is a space where emotion is honored — not hidden. It’s for the mothers who carry silent strength, for the teens trying to find their voice, and for anyone who believes in the quiet power of words, art, and connection. Whether it’s a handwritten note, a quote on a sweatshirt, or the color of a lipstick that makes you feel seen — this brand is my way of saying you are not alone.

What Matters to Me

  • Authenticity: Real feelings, real stories. No filters — just honesty and heart.

  • Connection: This brand is for the girl writing in her journal, the mom waiting beside a hospital bed, and anyone who needs a reminder that they matter.

  • Kindness: Our cosmetics are vegan and cruelty-free. Our materials are consciously chosen. Beauty should never come at the expense of compassion.

What Inspires Me

I’m inspired by my children — their resilience, their creativity, their ability to feel deeply and still hope. I’m inspired by Romeo and Juliet not just for its love story, but for Juliet’s raw, fearless voice. And I’m inspired by you — for being here, for seeking beauty with meaning.

Through every design, postcard, or product, I hope you feel a little more connected to your story — and proud of it.

g is not just a brand — it’s a story of love, resilience, and art born from real-life heartbreak and beauty.
